Today we drive to Thekkady, the spice capital. Settle into your resort, then enjoy a boat cruise on Periyar Lake – watch for elephants bathing at the water’s edge. After breakfast, we head to Alleppey, the gateway to Kerala’s backwaters. By noon, you’ll board a private houseboat (kettuvallam) for a cruise through shimmering lagoons, narrow canals, and villages where life unfolds on the water.
