Escape the dry heat of Saurashtra and immerse yourself in Kerala’s cool, emerald landscapes. This private tour is tailored for travellers from Rajkot – while direct flights from Rajkot (RAJ) to Cochin may connect via Mumbai or Ahmedabad, we ensure a seamless pickup at Cochin airport. Let us handle the details while you soak in the beauty of Munnar, Thekkady, and the famous Alleppey backwaters.
Meet our representative at Cochin International Airport or Ernakulam railway station. The scenic drive to Munnar passes through the stunning Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls, spice plantations, and tea gardens. Check into your hotel and unwind with a cup of world‑famous Munnar tea.
Overnight in Munnar.
After breakfast, explore Munnar’s iconic spots: Eravikulam National Park (home to the Nilgiri tahr), the serene Mattupetty Dam, and Echo Point. Visit the Tea Museum to learn about the region’s heritage. You’ll have free time to shop for aromatic spices and tea – a taste of Kerala to carry home.
Overnight in Munnar.
Today we drive to Thekkady, the spice capital. Settle into your resort, then enjoy a boat cruise on Periyar Lake – watch for elephants bathing at the water’s edge. In the evening, witness a captivating Kathakali performance and try an Ayurveda massage. A guided walk through a spice plantation is highly recommended.
Overnight in Thekkady.
After breakfast, we head to Alleppey, the gateway to Kerala’s backwaters. By noon, you’ll board a private houseboat (kettuvallam) for a cruise through shimmering lagoons, narrow canals, and villages where life unfolds on the water. Enjoy freshly cooked Kerala meals on board. The boat moors in a quiet spot for the night.
Overnight in houseboat (AC at night).
Disembark after breakfast and drive to Cochin (approx. 1.5 hrs). En route, stop at a coir village to see traditional craftsmanship. In Cochin, we tour Fort Kochi, the iconic Chinese fishing nets, St. Francis Church, and the Dutch Palace. The evening is free for shopping – pick up souvenirs from the spice market.
